Seminário discute políticas públicas para a juventude de Fortaleza
O objetivo do encontro, que reúne pesquisadores, estudantes, gestores públicos e especialistas, é consolidar o Plano Municipal de Juventude
Nos dias 06 e 07 de maio, será realizado o Seminário de Qualificação Técnica do Plano Municipal de Juventude, no Hotel Oásis (Av. Beira Mar, nº 2500), como parte da programação do I Congresso Municipal de Juventude. O objetivo do evento é qualificar, com observações técnicas, o Plano de Juventude, que está sendo elaborado pelos jovens da cidade, além de mobilizar especialistas, estudantes, representantes de movimentos juvenis e o público em geral para participar do Congresso.
O Seminário conta com a participação da professora da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) e ex-presidente do Conselho Nacional de Juventude, Regina Novaes, a professora de sociologia da Universidade Estadual do Ceará (UECE), Rosemary Almeida, o secretário municipal de Juventude, Afonso Tiago Nunes de Sousa, o coordenador da Universidade da Juventude (UNJUV), Alessandro Ponce de Leon, e representantes do Conselho Municipal de Juventude e da Prefeitura Municipal de Fortaleza.

O Congresso Municipal de Juventude é realizado pela Prefeitura Municipal de Fortaleza, com o objetivo de elaborar e consolidar, de forma participativa e democrática, o Plano Municipal de Juventude, um dos marcos legais da política para os jovens de Fortaleza.
Sobre o Plano Municipal de Juventude
A construção do Plano Municipal de Juventude teve início em janeiro de 2008, na Conferência Municipal de Juventude, em que mais de 1.300 jovens apontaram as principais demandas da cidade na área da juventude. Representantes do poder público e da sociedade civil se encontraram, desde agosto do ano passado, em plenárias temáticas e regionais do Congresso Municipal de Juventude para discutir A partir do documento base elaborado na Conferência.
O Plano Municipal de Juventude será aprovado na plenária final do Congresso, a ser realizada no dia 15 de maio de 2010, no CUCA Che Guevara. Após a finalização do documento, o material será apresentado à Câmara de Vereadores, aos órgãos governamentais e à sociedade civil. Com o Plano, a Prefeitura de Fortaleza terá metas e objetivos estratégicos na área da juventude para os próximos dez anos.
